New pictures in Berlin by Hannes Bieger.
I first saw pictures by Hannes Bieger on Guy Sternberg’s Facebook album, and they immediately hit me. I really appreciated the way he captured light, colors, faces and ambience.
Besides his photography work, I obviously didn’t know Hannes as a producer, sound engineer and a journalist : he developped his own soul/jazz/deep-house projects Airmate and LLava, works as a mixing and mastering engineer at Calyx Mastering, then writes as a freelance author for the Sound&Recording magazine, not less !
For those who cares about studios – and we do, have a look at his amazing pictures of some of the most famous recording studio in the world, click here on “studio photo gallery”.
So we met Hannes on a sunday of end january, during our session at Lowswing, Berlin. Daniel Offerman (Girls In Hawaii‘s bassist and Hallo Kosmo‘s frontman) was with us to record a german vocal part on “The Operator”, a Barbara Morganstern’s cover.
Hannes photographed us a lot while we were recording, then in front of the studio entrance in this somehow school-like lobby. The day after, we’ve been on Kastanienallee to take some pictures around that quite famous photo booth.
Now, here are some of his pictures, thank you Hannes !
