Coming on like a Krautrock version of The Doors sharing a studio with Jethro Tull, ‘Red City’ provides a taster of their debut allbum and sees The Loved Drones draw on their many years of collective experience working alongside the likes of Damo Suzuki and Stereolab’s Laetitia Sadier. They’ve managed to compress it all into 4 minutes and seven seconds of blissful hypnotic swirling indie with a magnetic pop edge. Nice. Very nice.
